This super sweet couple saw a Thank You Card we had designed from a past Wedding we photographed and decided to give us a call! Glen and Lesley are such real people, very down to earth, kind hearted, in love...wonderful people to work with and people that always have a smile on their face! I was very excited to work with them on their Wedding Day!

They were married at David Girard Vineyard in Placerville, which was yet another new location for me and a beautiful one at that! At the vineyard, brides and grooms are married amongst trees and a stage-like area that is built with roman style pillars, a gorgeous setting for any Ceremony. Ceremonies are suggested by the coordinator to start just after the sun falls behind the trees, so that the guests are out of the direct sun and the lighting for a photographer is amazing!

Following their beautiful Ceremony, Glen and Lesley hosted their Reception in a large tent with christmas tree lighting all throughout and which sat at the top of a small hill that overlooked a breathtaking sunset. Their family and friends were all fabulous and fun to work with...an all around fabulous Wedding!!! Oh and we all survived the heat! It was a hot one!

Introducing Nova Hedlund: July 27, 2010

Little Nova...what a sweet baby he is. Very good during the Session. All he wanted to do was just fall asleep and every position we propped him into he nestled in and found his comfort zone....then just as he would fall asleep, we changed his positioning, poor little guy! But none the less, he was awesome and totally a trooper with being a model for the first time!

This Session was actually done 'in home', so I was able to capture some more natural shots in Nova's nursery and other areas in their home. Here are a few of my favs, but you can always check more out on our Facebook page!

The Lloyd Kids!

Last year there were two Lloyd Kids...twins at that. This year, a new addition was welcomed into the family and her name is Kassidy. She is beautiful and has a smile that will melt your heart! She seems pretty mellow, which is probably a good thing for Kurt & Jenni, as their, now 3 year old, twins are quite the ball of energy ;o)

Bradon and Kylie love their little sister, but couldn't quite sit still long enough to get a picture with her, haha! So, this was round #1 of their Portraits and oh no, no, no, Tiffany doesn't give up, so I'll be seeing them again in a couple weeks for round #2 and we'll see how it goes then. There is one thing for sure and that is that they love the camera, so the cuteness of these kids definitely shows in my favs below!

Noah Faber: 5 Months

This cutie patootie (I know thats not a word, but it is for me when I see babies!) is Noah Faber. I photographed his Newborn Portraits a few months ago and the biggest difference is that he actually had way more hair back then, LOL! Now it's just fuzz, so adorable!

Noah is just such a sweetheart and did a fabulous job while we tortured him with so many poses, ha! He is almost sitting up, so we kept propping him up like a monkey, so he could lean and balance himself with his arms and he did great! Oh the torture of being a cute model.

So, here are some of my favs from his Session...you can watch for more of this cute little boy in the future, as I'll be photographing him again in a few months!

A VERY cute Wedding! Brian and Amanda had their intimate Ceremony and Reception in the comfort of Amanda's parents backyard. The Wedding was themed vintage/antique. Amanda's dress was gorgeous...made of a delicate lace pattern. The tables were decorated with tons of 'nick/nack' type antiques with white and light pink floral. They used antique china dishes for each guest which much have taken them some time to collect!! Amanda and her Mom put the entire event together and did a fabulous job on everything!

Tyler Dupont Spuehler: 14 Mos

You have to remember this cutie...it's those fabulous eyes!!! He is so adorable! Mr. Tyler turned a year in May, so Amy and I got a date set for his '1 year pics' and the last thing she said to me, was something like 'Tyler is CRAZY, get ready'! The funny thing about that is that even though we, as photographers, have to run around with the kids, where ever they go, to capture their 'moments'...usually the parents have a harder job in helping to get them to smile or look near the camera or move them from one place to another...or give them cheerios!

It's the parents that know what makes their children laugh or smile, so we have to give thanks to them first for all THEIR hard work in helping us capture those little kiddos on camera! Although we're running around, laying on the ground, standing on ladders or doing whatever necessary to 'capture the moment'...I think they work up more of a sweat than us, haha!

Tyler was super cute, very expressive and talkative! He was running all over the place, checking things out and telling us all about it. There is one thing I can say about Tyler and that is that he definitely loves to be entertained and is an entertainer himself. The cutest thing was to ask him what a monster says and hear him roar/growl like one....so adorable!!!

Mr & Mrs Jason Burgers: June 20, 2010/Shannon Center, Dublin

The new Shannon Center in Dublin is THE BOMB! I loved it! It was actually a surprise to me that it was even renovated, since I haven't lived in the Bay Area in 3 1/2 years...so I didn't even realize it. But when I saw the Reception Room, I was blown away at how beautiful it was! Hopefully I'll get the opportunity at photographing there again in the future...

So, along with a beautiful location, came a fabulous Bride and Groom. Let me introduce Jason and Megan. A super adorable and down to earth couple that is happy in love and were both ALL SMILES, all day, which of course makes our job easy, haha!

Their Ceremony was held outdoors, next to the Reception Room. It was a gorgeous day for these two love birds to tie the knot.

One thing I have to say that stood out about this Wedding, that I really loved, were the center pieces on the tables and the floral arrangements. The center pieces were so cute and creative and I believe they were hand made by one of the Moms. We must have taken 100 pictures in a variety of ways of their decor because it was so lovely. Enough rambling....take a peek for yourself!

Steve & Diane: Engagement

Engagement Sessions are fun because you get to know your clients better, see their interaction with each other, learn their style and then of course, they can get a feel for us as a photographer, how we shoot, what we shoot, etc. It's always a great thing to get to know your clients style before their Wedding, so you can tailor your work as a photographer for them.

With Steve and Diane, I have actually worked with them a couple times already for other occasions, but with the Engagement, it's a more one on one experience and what I learned is that they like to have fun, laugh, love each and maybe have a beer or two before we start! We had a lot of fun with them, creating a variety of different poses and using all kinds of lighting...natural light, reflector light, flash light. We tried a little of everything and got just that...a fabulous Engagement Session if I don't say so my self!

I'm excited for their Wedding this October, at Edgewood Golf Course: Lake Tahoe! I know we'll have a blast taking pictures all day with all that beautiful scenery in the background and I'm sure they are getting excited as well!

Mr & Mrs Brett Simpson: June 19, 2010

It was a gorgeous day on June 19th with a little wind, beautiful skies and a perfect day for Brett and Kelle to say their "I Do's". They were married at Canyon Creek Church in San Ramon, which happens to sit right next to Bridges Golf Course, their Reception Site. There was so much emotion filling this day and with the help of family and friends to celebrate this momentous occasion, Brett and Kelle had a fabulous Wedding!

Kelle was referred by an old friend from Highschool, who found me on facebook. I never thought I would get 'into' facebook, but it's a great way to connect with old friends and for a Photographer, to show our work!

One of the things Kelle expressed in our initial meeting was that she really wanted to take pictures at the Bridges Waterfalls with the Bridal Party...just fun and informal shots! We made sure this request was part of her day and we had a great time not only with the Bridal Party (as they did know how to have a good time!), but enjoyed photographing Brett's & Kelle's Wedding as a whole....so much that there are over 100 Artist Favorites that we have highlighted for you, BUT, these are just a sneak peak. Patrick & Alicia: Engagement 7/1/10

Patrick & Alicia were most certainly super 'in love'! It was apparent just in the way they looked at each other. On top of that, very easy to photograph as they just had fun with the Session and even brought a fun prop to use...a Scrabble Game.

Why scrabble? Well, because that is a fun past-time they truly enjoy with each other. They are both in the military and while apart they can still connect and spend time together while playing scrabble thru the iPhone even!!! I learned something new that day when Alicia told me that. I don't have an iPhone, so I'm not terribly up to speed with its technology. But how fun for them and if they have to be apart for their careers, what a fun way to still enjoy each others company.

Being that they are in the military, they are actually both from other states and are in the process of moving out of California. They are having their Wedding at the ever so popular East Coast's Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. I thought it sounded familiar, but wasn't sure. I looked it up online and it's beautiful! I threw a bone out there to let Patrick & Alicia know that I'm a traveling Photographer ... so keep me in mind for their big day next year! I have never been to Tennessee, so it would be fabulous to see a new place!

Little Lizzy Lou

This is Martina, one of my best friends of 10+ years. Her and her hubby, Demetrius, just had their first baby girl, Elizabeth...she is adorable and I love her little button nose! Martina and I have had so much fun over the years and now with our little ones, it will take our level of fun to a whole-nother place!

One of the most exciting things for me is every Christmas Season, we take our annual trip to San Francisco for a shopping day, just the two of us. Three years ago, I held out on our long day, being in my 8th month of pregnancy and we talked that day of the following year, when my little Jaxon would be hangin' with the girls for that annual shopping Day!

Now, come this Holiday Season, we're going to have fun with both our little ones and we're dragging our hubby's along too, for a family day in SF! Sorry guys, we decided for you, haha! Don't worry, we'll buy you a beer or two, so you don't get too bored shopping! But how fun and cool is it, that we've grown together, meeting in College and now 10 years later, married w/babies! They will be forever friends, like Martina and I!

Mr & Mrs Giacomo Zignago: June 6, 2010

Grand Island Mansion, Walnut Grove, CA...again another first time location for me and I loved it! What a completely fabulous location with unlimited photo opps! If only we had an entire day with a bride and groom, oh the photo damage we could do, haha!

So, Kim was referred by a friend, whom I photographed her Wedding back in 2006. When I first me with Kim, we totally hit it off. I love her super bubbly personality. She is all smiles and laughter, all the time! I didn't get to meet Giacomo until the day of the wedding, but when I saw the two of them together, it was so undeniably apparent that these two are 'in love'! Oh so cute, this couple was very easy to photograph!

They shared a beautiful ceremony amongst close family and friends, outdoors in a beautiful garden setting and then hosted an intimate brunch inside the Mansion. Mr & Mrs Chuck Settelmyer: May 30, 2010 Red Horse Barn

Fabulous Wedding! Need I say more? Once you see all the great photo opps we had, you'll know what I mean! This was my first Wedding at the Red Horse Barn/Newcastle Wedding Gardens in Newcastle, CA. Very cool location for Weddings. There is this perfect little brides room for some 'getting ready' pics, in which the owner has an lovely setup for the brides Wedding Gown, Jewelry, Floral etc. I personally, as the photographer, couldn't have asked for anything else to assist me in photographing a very beautiful event....oh well, except for the amazing couple we worked with!

Cheri is the sister to a friend of mine. When I first met with Chuck and Cheri, I felt like we totally clicked. They had their Engagement Session about a year ago up in Coloma and we had a blast working together during that time, so I knew the Wedding was going to be just as fun!

We had a lot of time for Bridal Portraits, which is always something us photographers enjoy! We were able to take advantage of several locations around the grounds of the Newcastle Wedding Gardens. Cheri and Chuck were up for anything, so just kept shooting away.

At their reception, is was hardly noticeable that their guests were having a blast, haha! By the way, I was joking...there were smiles, laughter, drinking and dancing happening all around us. It was a wonderful celebration with family and friends, who came together to support and show their love for this very happy and 'in love' couple!

Congrats Cheri and Chuck! You guys are awesome! I am so glad we had the opportunity at working together and I look forward to photographing your family as it grows!

Mr & Mrs Chuck Parisi: Edgewood Tahoe 5/23/10

Edgewood Golf Course in Tahoe is a beautiful location to get married. It was my first time there. Funny that there was bits and pieces of snow on the ground while we were there. End of May? Yes, very cold for this time of year, but none the less beautiful!

Jennifer and Chuck moved their Ceremony inside a very intimate room to keep their guests comfortable, since it was so chilly outside. But after the Ceremony, we took them outdoors for some Bridal Portraits and took advantage of the great lighting and beautiful scenery!

There reception looked out right over the lake, with the snowy mountains behind the lake, just breathtaking views, very awesome! I hope to do more Weddings at Edgewood in the future and if anyone is looking for a neat place in Tahoe to say 'I Do's', check it out!

Aidan Gentry: 2 Years

If you read my previous post, you learned about a best friend of mine, who used to be almost a sister, but still sort of IS like a sister because we've known each other for so long...well, that is Kelly and this is her son, Aidan!

Aidan turned two in April and is just 2 months younger than my son, Jaxon. We get together as often as we can to spend time hanging out and letting the boys play. They are such good friends and I think it's so cool that Aidan and Jaxon will be friends as they grow. I don't have any friends that I've known my entire life, like these boys, but I do have friends that I've known for 20+ years and I'm very grateful for such amazing friends.

I have taken Aidan's pictures since he was a wee-little-one, just a month old and I'll have to say, he definitely made me work for it this time, haha! He wanted to look or walk in any direction that WASN'T the camera, but me being the sly devil that I am, was able to capture a variety of fun shots regardless of him not looking at the camera very often. I caught him in his 'moments' of just being a boy and I think that is far better than a 'cheese' for the camera!

Ty & Courtney: Baby Bump

Whats great about my job is that I get to photograph people during the happiest and most memorable moments in their life. And what I love about that specifically, is that because I have pretty close relationships with my clients, I get to be a part of more than just one memory...starting with the Engagement of a couple, to a beautiful Wedding, then expectant parents and finally a new beginning ... the beginning of life and growing families.

Ty & Courtney found us about a year ago. I have had the many pleasures now, of photographing some of THEIR most memorable moments and we've come to the point in their life, where they are about to bring a beautiful baby into world! So, to celebrate this 'almost here' occasion, we got together at my Studio and photographed some intimate Pregnancy Portraits for them.

I cannot wait to meet little Landon in about a month. It's very exciting for me to be a part of these life experiences because I love family and I love capturing memories and milestones. We should have a talk with Landon now, so he's well informed of the fact that he will be a model here shortly and that he has a tremendous amount of pictures just waiting to be taken of him.

Ty & Courtney ~ You will be fabulous parents to little Landon. He is coming into the world with love surrounding him and I hope to be there shortly after to help capture that time for you in the hospital. I'm so excited for you two!

The Pigeon Family

I've known Melanie for years, lets see...probably something close to 20 years. Here is a confusing story for you...she is one of my best friends, best friend, but my best friend used to be almost a sister, so she still sort of IS like a sister to me and Melanie was sort of a big sister to me too, when we were all growing up. Did I confuse you? It's okay, we're all friends, sisters, whatever ;o)

So, Melanie actually ended up in the Sacramento area, just like my family and lives about 15 minutes from me. She has two boys, one of which was just born a few months ago, so she contacted me to schedule a family session. Her boys, Cody (3) and Luke (4 months) are ADORABLE! I can't tell who they look like more because I feel like they have a lot of Melanie AND Eric in them...either way, cute, cute, cute....and those beautiful baby blues both boys have, watch out girls!

A beautiful couple married at a beautiful location. May 20, 2010 at Vizcaya Pavilion in Sacramento, Rick & Chelsea said "I Do". It's obvious they are much in love and with the support of all their family & friends, they vowed this to each other on a gorgeous day. Lucky enough to have caught one of the "good" weathered days this Spring, they celebrated with their guests...ate good food, danced the night away and had a fabulous time on their special day together!

Glen & Lesley: Engagement (Coloma)

Glen & Lesley just found us recently, due to a "Thank You" card we custom designed for a previous bride. It's always very awesome to get referrals like this, as we work very hard to run our business by repeat customers and referrals. Being that we are all very family oriented, it is such an honor to start photographing a couple from the beginning, at their Engagement Session and we hope to be their lifelong photographer for any need moving forward. We truly enjoy what we do and we hope our clients enjoy the imagery we create just as much!

For Glen & Lesley, they liked our 'style' of imagery on the "Thank You" cards they saw! Again, it's so cool to hear that people look deeply into photography, enough to see that we have a certain style to our work and creativity. When I met with them at their Consult, we hit it off right away and I was very excited at the opportunity to work with them at their Wedding, coming up next month!

They fell in love with the idea of a Guest Book custom designed from Engagement Session Images that we offer, so they decided to go with a package that included this Session. Guest Books are so much fun for brides & grooms because they use pictures for everyone to look at for years to come and they allow for the Wedding Guests to write well wishes and special notes and congratulatory remarks to the bride & groom versus just signing a name. They are different and are most likely something a bride or groom will pull out again many times in the future to remember their special day.

Their Engagement Session was shot in Coloma, where there are endless opportunities for Photography. It's a very cool place for any type of Session and I would definitely recommend it to my clients in the future! We had a blast working with them! They were very easy going and were up for all different ideas that I had brainstormed. Mr & Mrs Doug Peterson: Maui'd 5/15/10

Yay! They did it! Doug & Carol are Maui'd! I know, kind of corny, but I had to! I had the fabulous opportunity in flying to Maui (first time to Hawaii!) for Doug & Carol's beautiful Wedding! I 'drug' my husband me (yeah right!), stuck some swim trunks on my son, packed all my camera equipment and we headed on vacation.

We (Jeff, Jax and I) had a blast doing some sight seeing the first half of our trip, took in the amazing sunsets, walked the grounds of the Grand Wailea, had some pool time and hit up the waterslides at our resort, then towards the end of our vaca, we attended Doug & Carol's 'Welcome Reception', the night prior to their Wedding....and finally, the BIG DAY!

The first Wedding in a long time that I have shot on my own, with no assistant or co-photographer, so it helped me really remember the importance of having that 2nd shooter there. I always think it's such a help to have someone else shooting with you because you can get so much more accomplished in a timely manner and be able to get different angles of shots etc. BUT, being that Doug & Carol's Wedding was a more intimate experience, with about 30 of their closest family & friends, it was definitely suitable for a single photographer and I think I did a pretty good job of capturing almost a 2 photographer prospective!

So, there they are, this beautiful couple, saying their "I Do's" in a breathtaking location, with the ocean in the background. We lucked out because there was a slight mist in the air as the Ceremony was about to start and I'm sure we were all thinking "please don't rain!!!!"...well the Hawaii weather held out and it was awesome! After their Ceremony, we went down to the beach and caught some of the most beautiful light and beach sunset setting I've ever seen. It's truly different to catch the sunset on a beach in Hawaii than a beach on the coast of California, haha.

I'll stop rambling now, but I couldn't say enough about how great their Wedding day was, how stunning Carol looked, how handsome Doug looked and what an amazing experience it was for all of us. Congratulations to a very special couple, may you live long, laugh often and love always!

50's 50th Bash!

For Steve's 50th Birthday Bash, Diane threw a fabulous 50's themed Celebration at The Victorian in Roseville. All his close family & friends came together, dressed to impress with 50's style costume clothing, jewelry and apparel. There were lots of smiles, laughter, eating, drinking, dancing and everyone had a blast at this happy celebration!

Kirk & Candice: Engagement Session

Kirk & Candice were referred to us by another one of our clients. When we met to discuss the vision for their Wedding, Candice took particular interest in our Panoramic Custom Flush Mount Album and I was so excited! It is one of our newest Albums and very unique at that. I realized that she must have taken a special liking to it because she, herself, is in the Graphic Design field, so she has an open mind to some those 'different', creative products we offer. They ended up booking their Wedding with us, so I cannot wait to get working on the Design for their very amazing Pano Album!

They also chose to do an Engagement Session, which we shot at Misty Woods Park in Roseville. I love that park, as there are so many great areas to photograph at! We had a blast photographing their light hearted personalities, smiles, love and giggles (that was Candice)! I know, I know, it's hard having your pictures taken sometimes and you feel silly maybe, but trust us photographers, we see something special thru that viewfinder on our camera ... and trust is what they had in us, because they were up for all the different posing we instructed. They did a fabulous job and I can't wait for Kirk & Candice to tie the knot in September!

Miss Klaire Nelson: 1 Year Old

Little Miss Klaire has been famous on our blog in the past year, starting with growing in her mommy's tummy! From an adorable newborn baby to a beautiful 1 year old little girl, Klaire brings a smile to anyone's face!

Her 1 year session was done in the comfort of her own home, outside. She was super happy and ready for the camera. Klaire gave many facial expressions to capture and did a fabulous job modeling for us!

Alex & Christina: Engagement 5/4/10

I was honored to get a phone call from Christina when she first called...she is the cousin of one of my past brides...from 5 years ago!!! When someone remembers you from that long ago, that is awesome...and seems like it was a good impression (haha), otherwise she wouldn't have booked us for her Wedding next year!

Alex and Christina are getting married in June 2011 and chose to do an Engagement Session, so we met up in San Francisco for their Session. We photographed in various areas in North Beach, then down at Pier 39 and had a blast with them. They are very free spirited and were up for whatever we wanted to try, so the Session lasted a bit longer than normal and they have a TON of images to start sifting thru for their Guest Book.

Almost here...Little Elizabeth!

One of my bestest friends, Martina, and her hubby Demetrius, are about to be parents to their little miracle, Elizabeth. I have given her a cute little nickname though...my little Lizzy Lou! I cannot wait to meet her and I'm anxiously awaiting the phone call or text message that she's here with us!

These are some special moments that Martina enjoyed just weeks before her due date. She is super excited to be a mommy and I'm so happy for the both of them!

I found a cute new place to photograph Weddings, that I didn't know existed! Oak Leighs in Fair Oaks, CA. It's nestled among trees and very rustic/outdoorsy buildings...there are tons of photo opps! But, I wouldn't have come across it had Robin not contacted us for Wedding Photography.

Mike & Robin were married a few weeks ago at this great little place and we had tons of fun working with them. They are such a sweet couple and were totally down for lots of Bridal Portraits, which we love!

Carol is getting Maui'd ... in Maui!

Miss Carol started out as a client, then became a coworker and is now a really good friend! Back in December I posted some pics from her Engagement Session, which is where this all started.

Meet Carol and Doug!

Shortly after their Engagement Shoot, Carol came to work with us, as I was much in need of some extra office help! We've become great friends since then. I've learned a lot about Carol, how her and Doug came to be and lots of fun details about their Wedding plans. One detail I didn't expect when we first talked to schedule their Engagement Session, was the fact that I would be photographing their very intimate Wedding in Maui! It is such a great opportunity to photograph a destination Wedding, in such a beautiful location, as they don't come along very often...so thank you Doug and Carol, I'm soooo looking forward to it!

Back to planning...when Carol started talking about her Bridal Shower, I offered to help plan it. She came across a fabulous idea for invites and I jumped at the chance to try something new...a Boarding Pass Invitation! Below is an example of the invite:

So, Carol and I planned this Hawaii themed Bridal Shower. We had everyone wear name tags that said their Hawaiian Name, each person wore a Lei, we had a beach themed cake and palm tree picture holders as favors. It was a lot of fun to meet all her friends and family and it just got me even more excited for the Wedding!

Little Bailey is 1 Year Old!

I'm sure you'll remember just a few short months ago when we posted pics from Bailey's 10 month Session because she is a super cutie pie! Well, we also designed her 1st Birthday Invitations, using some of the images from her Session AND photographed her Birthday Party!

Bailey's party was so adorable, themed Lollipops! There was so much great detail to capture and we also did a mini Photo Shoot of Bailey for her 1 Year Portraits before the party, as well. Meet Ashton!

I first worked with Richard and Amanda almost 2 years ago at their Wedding. They had a beautiful Ceremony on the beach in Monterey on a Friday, then followed it up with a larger group of people at their reception held in Elk Grove, at Elk Grove Park, the very next day.

I noticed on her facebook she had a profile picture of her and this absolutely adorable baby boy and I thought, "did they have a baby and I didn't realize it?" So I immediately emailed her to congratulate them and remind them of the gift we offer all our past brides/grooms...a Complimentary Pregnancy or Newborn Session! Obviously I missed the Pregnancy, but they decided to take advantage of Complimentary Newborn/Family Session right away.

Ashton was 4 months by the time they came in, but non the less, still a new baby and he brought many smiles and lots of talking to his photo shoot! He was having full on conversations with Amanda while I was capturing his many expressions. I wanted to keep shooting, but the fun ends when baby says so, haha. Mr & Mrs Dave Mayer: April 11, 2010

It rained all morning and all afternoon...I was so bummed to think that this sweet couple, Dave and Heather, weren't going to get some Bridal Portraits outdoors. BUT, it was unbelievable! The skys cleared and the sun came out, literally just as the Ceremony ended that late afternoon, so we rushed outside for their formals and Bridal Portraits. I was so happy for them, that we were able to capture the beauty of the day, the fabulous location and some romantic shots of this adorable couple!

This was my 2nd Wedding at Vizcaya in one weekend. A great location for Weddings and Events, by the way. So, Dave and Heathers Ceremony was indoors, due to rain, but it was beautifully setup in their banquet room! Nice and bright and I loved the christmas lights that were strung around the 'alter'.

I am very thankful to have had the opportunity at working with Dave and Heather, as they are such a fun, happy, down to earth people! I hope you enjoy this sneak peak at their Wedding Images, but don't forget to view more from their Event on our facebook page!

Mr & Mrs Cesar Cendejas: April 10, 2010

Cesar & Christie were married in a beautiful, very ornately (is that a word?) structured Church in Sacramento, right near the Capital Building. We had to use the fisheye lense and stand as far back as we could in the tightly nestled area near the church, just to get the full length shot of the outside. And as you'll see in these images, the inside was gorgeous!

After their Ceremony, we spent a short time at the Capital Building for some Bridal and Bridal Party Portraits. We had some fun working with this group in front of the building and captured some great shots of them just having a fabulous time all together!

Their reception was held at Vizcaya, also in Sacramento. I hadn't shot here in years and oddly enough I had a double Wedding weekend, so I was back at Vizcaya the very next day after Cesar & Christie's Wedding! It's such a fabulous, beautiful location. There are so many different opportunities to capture, working at Vizcaya and I would definitely recommend it to other brides!

Now THIS was a party! The second the dance floor opened at Cesar & Christie's reception, people swarmed to it and started to "boogie down" (a saying from my childhood, haha). It was awesome! I couldn't believe how many people STAYED on the dance floor without any breaks, they just kept going and going and going...yes, like the energizer bunny! I'm sure that Cesar & Christie had a fabulous time at their Reception because it was definitely fun to watch and shoot, on our end!

Congratulations to you both! I hope you are having an amazing time on your nice long honeymoon!

Dupont Family: April 3, 2010

Bringing family together for a holiday...the Dupont family primarily lives in the Sacramento area, however, one of the Dupont sisters lives out of state, so when they came into town for a visit and to spend Easter with everyone, a family portrait was on the list of to do's.

If you've sifted thru our blog since we started it, you might notice which of the Dupont girls is Amy because I have photographed her several times in the past! Amy Dupont is my fabulous hair dresser, my client and my friend. Go see her at DeJa Du Salon on Vernon Street in Roseville.

But in the meantime, here are a few of Amy's family photos to enjoy!

Miles: 1 Year Session

Here is a picture of little Miles one year ago...just about a month old and cute as can be!

I was fortunate to meet Miles' Mommy, Cinda, about a year and a half ago. We captured her Belly pics, as well as Miles Newborn pics. And I can't believe it's already been a year! Miles is such the little man, seems to enjoy babbling (I love it when babies babble, so cute!) and loves to crawl!!!

Miles was serious, smiley, laughing, curious...just a happy boy and so much fun to photograph! We met up in Old Town Sac at the Train Museum and took advantage of the great buildings and trains around the area. It's a great place for Photography...there are so many areas to utilize, I love it there! And although that morning was a bit cold out, Miles was a trooper and you'll see he had fun...didn't let the weather get in the way of our Session!

Mr & Mrs Jason Owings: March 27, 2010

Jason & Ashlyn were married in Monterey on one of the most beautiful March days I've ever experienced, especially in a town near the beach! It was quite cold in the morning when we arrived at the vacation home they were staying at, but a couple hours later, we stepped foot onto the beach for their Bridal Portraits and the sun was almost too warm for all of us, just absolutely breathtaking weather!

Ashlyn found us thru another Photographer friend, that was unavailable. (Brian Gross Photography) Brian referred Ashlyn to us and when she saw my picture on our website, she quickly realized that I was a Tiffany that she knew! Her older sister and I were good friends thru highschool, but haven't touched base in years, so it was nice to have the opportunity at catching up with Ashlyn, her sister and their family!

Lil' Noah Faber

Okay, so my guess was wrong....Chris and Elise had a beautiful baby boy, not a girl. But holy cute baby! This little guy is soooooo adorable. I would have just kept shooting for hours, but I wouldn't want to torture him, ha! Noah was such a trooper! It was the first Newborn Session I've done, where we didn't have to stop at all, during the Session! Well, okay, maybe just for a minute, to clean up some pee, haha, but other than that, he was all for the Session, as I see it! A ham already, what a great start. The McColm Girls

These two cuties are often seen on our website, our blog and our facebook page. Here they are again...Erin (4 years old) and Payton (1 year old), for their annual Portrait Session. This year, we were able to shoot at a neat location in Livermore. A home that is on a ranch, with a big barn, white fences and much more. Unfortunately, it got REALLY cold fast, so we weren't able to take advantage of everything, but here is a taste of fun shots captured. I think expression is the word for this Session! Mr & Mrs Jimmy McDaniel: 2/20/10

Congratulations to Jim & Christina McDaniel...the 2nd? Confused? Well, Jim's dad is Jim and Jim's Step Mom is Christina and Jim's Wife is Christina...so what do we have? A bunch of Jim and Christina's!!! What a fun family to work with! It didn't matter if you were confused by names, even though I wasn't, because everyone was just happy to be there!

Our focus at the McDaniel Wedding was more candid, with the standard formals included. This group of guests definitely liked to have a good time, dancing and drinking and the occasional breakdancing...check out some of the fun shots we captured from their Event and don't forget, you can view more of our Favs on our Facebook page!

Baby Madeline!

Meet baby Madeline. She is my newest little cousin! I have had the pleasure of photographing her mommy & daddy's Wedding, her big brothers 6 month portraits and a few other Sessions over the years, so it was fabulous to have the opportunity at photographing her Newborn Portraits!

So, my favorite thing about Madeline was her expression. She is almost 2 months old and already has so many adorable little facial expressions to share with us. She even smiled quite a few times for her pics! Madeline had this little grin with one side of her mouth that is oh so contagious!

One moment that stood out to me during her Session was when she was being held by Daddy and looking up at him. Mommy and brother were also right there looking at her and she was almost like talking to them with her expressions and smiles. It was sooooo cute!!!

Beautiful Bailey

Bailey's mommy found us thru a google search, however, she realized when she saw the logo on the back of my car that she had actually seen my car at the store one day and was meaning to check out the website...but it had slipped her mind. So, it must have been meant to be when the google search lead her to us!

Veronica and Mike were in search of a photographer for their daughters 1st birthday in April. I talked with Veronica and provided a variety of options, one of which was to do a Portrait Session of Bailey prior to the Event, so we could custom design some very unique invitations for her big 1st birthday bash!

We love creating very personal design work for our clients, so we're excited for this invitation...and of course it doesn't hurt that Bailey is such a beautiful little girl, so her Session was awesome and now we have a variety of very special images to work with!

BTW, her 1st birthday is themed Lollipops...hello? This should be a party theme more often for little girls, WHAT AN ADORABLE IDEA!!!!

Part of little Bailey's Session was done in our Studio, where she wore a little multi-colored tutu, a headband that matched and held onto a matching Lollipop...OH, SO CUTE!!

Little Nolan Somers

Meet little Nolan Somers! He was born about 6 weeks ago to Mommy Kim and Daddy Kyle. Kyle and Kim received a Complimentary Newborn Session because they were a past bride/groom of mine! And I was very excited to hear they were expecting and even more excited when she informed me it was a boy! I have a son as most of you know and there is nothing more special than a sons bond with his mother.

I'm sure I've mentioned this in other posts at some point, but a great trick to calming a crying baby, is actually running your vacuum cleaner. It doesn't work with all babies, I'm sure, but in most cases where I've used it, to calm crying in the Studio, it works...and well!

We know most babies right out of the womb don't want to be totally nakie because they feel cold or unsupported without being wrapped in a blankie, so it always happens that in my Newborn Sessions, there is a period of time where babies get a little annoyed by all the torturous, yet adorable pictures that we are having them take.

Little Nolan's cry said..'just bundle me in the cozy brown blankie, mom!' The second we put him against the cozy brown blankie, he was calm and the crying stopped. We went with it and got some very adorable little Nolan expressions.

Chris & Elise: Baby Bump

I'm sure SHE was born by now, as poor Elise was anxiously awaiting something...ANYTHING to progress into labor around her due date. I say SHE because I told them I thought it was a girl, but they were expecting a surprise, as they chose not to find out the sex of the baby. So, Chris and Elise were my bride and groom in 2007 and now I'm excited to start photographing their family, beginning with this special time...as they await the arrival of their first baby!

Like I said, I'm sure they are holding HER in their arms by now, but I haven't heard from them yet, so I'll have to let you know if I was correct in my guessing they would have a baby girl. We contacted them to remind them of their complimentary Pregnancy or Newborn Session, for being a past bride/groom with us and to our surprise they were instantly booking their pregnancy session, as they were due in just days. So, we scheduled their Session 2 days later, hoping baby GIRL wouldn't come quite yet, ha! We lucked out!

Little Myles & his Family

You might remember this family from our blog post a couple months ago. Christy and I have known each other for about 24 years! I had the pleasure of capturing her pregnancy and now her little miracle is here! Myles was born on January 5th and is quite the "little man" already. Scott & Carolyn: Engagement Session

Scott & Carolyn...what can I say? A glowing couple that I am very excited to work with on their Wedding Day, this coming August! They were referred to us by two of our 2009 bride/grooms! When Scott and Carolyn came to meet with me, Scott asked specific questions about certain artsy techniques and I was stoked because when I showed them some of my favorites from 2009, they truly understood and appreciated our work and the time we spend in creating unique imagery!

Scott & Carolyn are HUGE San Francisco Giants fans and they enjoy San Francisco, so they opted for their Engagement Session to be in the city. I know they had a sleu of locations they thought would be cool to try out, as the city is an amazing place for Photography, but they narrowed their choices down to Rincon Park and the Giants Stadium. We met at the Stadium first and worked our way around it, utilizing the great architecture and some neat water, bridge and boat shots. Then we headed over to Rincon Park Area, right down the street.

Brian came with me to help out on the shoot and thank god he was there because we just happened upon a fabulous street/bay bridge shot that I couldn't have done by myself! If you ever want a neat photograph for the scrapbook, come down Harrison Street, heading towards the water/piers and you will get a fabulous view of the Bay Bridge (hopefully it will be a clear day for you because it's a great photography opportunity!) We were literally running into the cross walk in between lights with a different pose each time...Brian with the light on Scott & Carolyn and me with my camera, listening to Brian's commands on the street light situation and me telling Scott & Carolyn how to move around...it was comical, but AWESOME!

Baby Wyatt

Introducing baby Wyatt! About a year and a half ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Wyatt's big brother, as a Newborn, Ross. Scott & Ashley contacted me as they were expecting a 2nd baby and I was excited to meet little Wyatt!

Now, when Ross was a baby, he was literally like a little doll...I mean we tortured him with at least 10 different poses/backdrops during his Newborn Session, but he was alseep the entire time. He definitely made all of our jobs easy easy, as we just morphed him into the position we needed, haha! But, Wyatt...well he seemed to have more of a mind of his own and wasn't too keen on the great ideas Scott & Ashley had for his Newborn Session Images. They wanted to stick with the 'western' theme, being that his name is Wyatt, so they brought a real horse saddle and some cowboy boots and a cowboy hat to his Session.

In the end, all Wyatt wanted to do was lay on a nice soft quilted blanket and look adorable and cozy for the camera ;o) So, here is adorable and very cozy, little Wyatt!

Little Klaire Bear!

This cutie is getting cuter by the minute! I photographed little Klaire in Momma's Belly, as well as her Newborn Portraits and boy has she grown into a very huggable little munchkin. I loved how her Newborn Session came out and this quick 9 Month Session is another favorite of mine! Klaire has such the facial expression..oh so adorable! I can't wait to photograph her again!

The Scheidtmann Family

This is the great thing about Facebook...somehow Lindsey found me thru another person on Facebook, saw that I was a photographer, then referred a Wedding to me! Lindsey and I haven't seen each other or talked in about 10+ years, since highschool. It was great to catch up with her, meet her husband and their beautiful little Ava.

So, Lindsey & her family received a Complimentary Portrait Session, for the Wedding referral she sent our way. We're always very appreciative of our loyal clients and their referrals!

Lindsey's Session took place at a recreational park area in Livermore, near Wente Winery. I love shooting at this park because it's very rustic and outdoorsy, if that is even a word, ha! It's very natural for backgrounds and the lighting is great! We had a fabulous time working with them and capturing their smiley girls little face. Charlie and Alicya were married in Lodi, at Wine & Roses. They had a beautiful Ceremony inside an intimate room, in the warmth of a fireplace and nestled alongside stunning holiday decor. It made for a fantastic photo opp during their Ceremony! This couple had a true connection and it was very apparent in their interaction with each other. Lil' Carleigh Giroux

My Little Sister: Montanah

Some of you have seen pics of my sister in my home/home office and studio. She has always been my little model. We usually do two Sessions every year...one around her birthday (April) and one around the holidays for my parents Holiday Cards. We try to bring a little something different to each Session and I REALLY love how this Session came out. Montanah's BW outfit was perfect for a Studio Session. We were supposed to have done the Session outdoors, but due to rain, we used the Studio and I think it definitely worked out to our advantage! So in love. That is pretty much all I need to say about these two! Sergio and Kelly are the sweetest couple, so in love and so happy to have each other...they made me smile because they are very REAL people. Brian and I had a lot of fun working with them on a B..E..A..U..tiful November day! There were married at Valley Community Church in Pleasanton, which Kelly's father helped renovate a while back. 3 1/2 = Chevalier Family

Christy, a lifelong friend, that I've known since the first grade, is now expecting her second baby boy in just a few short weeks! I'm so glad that we've kept in touch all these years and I'm glad to have had the opportunity at capturing this very special time for Christy and her family!

Let me introduce you...this is Roland, Christy & Marcus Chevalier. Oh and I almost forgot, baby Chevalier, which we don't have a name for yet, but Marcus suggested Tyrone (he snagged that from the Backyardigans, haha!)

Just one of the cutest families, don't you agree? And let me tell you, that little Marcus is quite the man...a ham for pictures, boy does he soak it up .. AND AT THE AGE OF 3! What? Most 3 year olds don't just pose like Marcus does, he's a doll! I could go on and on about these guys, but I want to make sure you have time to enjoy their beautiful family portraits.
